The biggest obstacle for anyone looking for a job is the job interview itself. Most people manage to find a position that suits them and to prepare their documents, CV and cover letter - but when it comes to the interview, few of them do well.
In the video below I go through what a job interview actually is, how to prepare for one, what questions interviewers ask, and which mistakes candidates make most often. I recorded it as part of the "Working in the IT Industry" seminar.
If you are applying for your first developer job, the short version is this: know what is written on your own CV, be ready to explain your projects in your own words, and do not be afraid to say "I do not know" - interviewers ask questions precisely to find the edge of what you know.
Enjoy - and when you get the job, find me and buy me a drink. ;)
